Mystery Trip Satisfaction Guarantee

Every mystery trip is planned around the preferences, interests, budget, travel style, and restrictions you provide during the planning process. Because each itinerary is customized, we ask that you complete your travel questionnaire as accurately and honestly as possible.

If, after your destination is revealed and before travel begins, you decide the destination is not the right fit, you may choose to postpone your trip and have The Curious Tourist Company plan a new vacation for a different destination.

Under this guarantee:

  • The guarantee may be used one time per original booking.
  • It applies only before travel has begun.
  • It applies only after your official destination reveal and before your scheduled departure date.
  • The original reservations will be canceled according to each supplier's cancellation policies.
  • Any refundable amounts, future travel credits, or vouchers issued by suppliers will be applied toward your replacement trip whenever possible.
  • The Curious Tourist Company will waive any additional itinerary planning or trip design fees for the replacement vacation.
  • New supplier pricing, airfare, hotel rates, taxes, fees, and availability will apply at the time the new trip is booked.
  • The traveler is responsible for any increase in travel costs that results from the new booking.

This guarantee does not apply:

  • After travel has begun.
  • If the destination has been disclosed through circumstances outside of The Curious Tourist Company's control.
  • If cancellation results from changes in personal circumstances, scheduling conflicts, financial reasons, illness, or any reason unrelated to the destination itself.
  • To non-refundable supplier charges that cannot be recovered.

While we cannot override supplier cancellation policies or recover non-refundable expenses, we are committed to helping you enjoy a vacation you'll be excited to take. If your mystery destination isn't the right match, we'll create a new trip without charging another planning fee.
